"We came to the Martial Arts Academy in 2014 for our son, who was 9 at the time. At first, we joined primarily due to his desire to learn self-defense skills and build confidence. Our son is now 12 and about to earn his Black Belt. Over the past 3 years, he has grown significantly - physically, mentally, and emotionally. His confidence is high, his self-control solid, and he has gained countless valuable skills. Most importantly, he has learned what it means to work hard for a large goal. As he closes in on this acheivement, we are now enrolling our youngest son into Kyuki-Do as well. Even though the goals for each child are different, martial arts allows them both to acheive great success in many arenas." - Jenny, Current Parent of a Martial Arts Student
"I signed my 9 year old son up for Kyuki-Do 2 months ago. At first, he was apprehensive, but is now loving it! The classes are very structured, which is great for any 9 year old. Focus is placed on being respectful to both the instructor and your fellow classmates. It’s a great avenue for anyone to learn respect and discipline. The best part is that he is learning not only to protect himself, but also to de-escalate a situation whenever possible. I would recommend Hudson Martial Arts Academy to anyone who is looking to learn more about self-defense, respect and self-discipline. Top Notch!" - Jeff, Current Parent of a Martial Arts Student
"We brought our young son to your academy in hopes that he would enjoy the activity, but more importantly, that it would help solidify the importance of honor and respect in his life. As parents, we feel the reinforcement of those values that our son received at the academy does show and his confidence has improved. The time we spend at the academy as well as travel time is well spent as we truly appreciate the life lessons this martial arts is helping our son learn. The instructors are phenomenal." - Current Parent of a Martial Arts Student
"This class has helped my son gain confidence, reduce anxiety, and master his hand-eye coordination. He enjoys it every week and has learned so much!" - Sarah Bailey, Current Parent of a Martial Arts Student
"Martial Arts is not only for kids! I started my training in my mid-40’s and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The instructors are great and make sure you stay healthy and avoid injury. Modifications can be made to address specific physical limitations so you are able to meet your personal goals. It’s amazing to experience not only the increase in physical ability, but also the boost in confidence for daily life." - Mrs. Christina Hopp, Current Martial Arts Student
